The only sensible answer is that Roberto Duran was never deeply immersed in politics, showbiz and religion among others all at the same time.

He has his focus in boxing alone.

But then again, stop making us look bad.

Ehhmm People who said Pac is not on the same level as Duran really dont know **** about boxing.. At least there is no quitting in Pacquiao.. But about the thread i think Pac is done, there are just too many distractions for him to make a successful comeback. He already has done impossible feats in boxing that might never be equaled at all. I just want him to retire and not become another RJJ.

When duran got K.O'd he got up immediately and rose to his feet, they needed to break out the smelling salts for pac who was out cold for 2 mins.

Duran got stopped, pac got put to sleep. There is a big difference.

Exactly what I was going to say.
How many fighters have got back to success after being put to sleep?

he can come back and win of course(just not against marquez or may), not sure if he could do so at a higher weight. He can surely beat most of the regular champs at 140 or 147 and do it with ease

This was different. i'm not saying Pacuiao can't compete at elite level anymore but there's a chance that this ko will have an affect on his career

unfortunately, not everyone is cut from the same cloth as roberto duran or evander holyfield.

in fact, some championship-level boxers never fight again after suffering their first ko loss(spinks, lipsey).

Pacqiao is better than Duran and will come back. He just got caught. Its not like he was being dominated and got KOed. He will now fight Rios and dismantle him, then he will rematch Bradley and win convincingly or by knockout and a V fight with Marquez which he will dominate and be back to pep #1 by 2014.

MAG1965 is ESB's premium Duran hater, always squeals SRL was GREEN when he got his arse handed to him in Montreal by Duran & that a blown up lightweight 70+ fight 32 yr old veteren could'nt beat the undisputed 160lb monster that was Hagler so he can't be an ATG:patsch
