Exactly Benitez is not as great as pbf but he schooled Duran. And he would have always beaten any version of Duran h2h if Benitez could have made 135 when Duran was there he would have tooled him there. We've seen Duran schooled KTFO and frustrated by lesser fighters than pbf. We haven't seen that with pbf.

Offense usually wins. Most ATG fighters were offensive.

Vast majority of greats were about delivering the pain instead of playing defense.

Wladimir v.s Bryd, Whitaker v.s Oscar, Floyd v.s Castillo 1 are just a few examples of top offense beating top defense. Which is usually the case regardless of what that IDIOT said earlier about "Derrrp great defense beats great offense 9 out of 10 times" like some kind of generic little league coach

Good defense wins sometimes over good offense. But not most of the time.

Dumbest thing I've heard in a while. Even the current Manny Pacquaio is just as good if not better than any version of Kessler.

I said that he has to box , which he would , therefore i said , it would be a close fight .
If Duran would try to brawl with Floyd , he would lose very clear.
The other guy who i was replying to , said that he would go after Floyd and he would hate him,
which implied to me , that he would brawl with him , in his opinion.

Roberto Duran was far from invincible too, still People talking about him in this thread like he was a god.

My bad for misunderstanding. I think Duran would definitely use his anger once he got inside. He hated Leonard but feinted and boxed his way inside. Then he went ham once he got in there lol

I can completely understand , why you think , that Duran would win the fight.

But it is not that easy to get inside against Floyd Mayweather , it happened against Castillo and Maidana, but
he was not at his best in those fights.

Against the best version of Floyd Mayweather , it is nearly impossible to get inside for the most of the fight,
even for a fighter like Roberto Duran.

I think he would do it enough to win 4 or 5 rounds , but not enough to win the fight.
Roberto Duran never fought an opponent with the defensive skills of Floyd Mayweather.

As already stated, Duran was completely off that night - fat, slow, soft, very past it - there was absolutely nothing about Duran that could've digged deep to get a win that night. Even Ray Leonard made strong mention of it in the first couple of rounds into the fight. Benitez fight has no reasonable weighting. You was mad about me mentioning a past prime Floyd but here you are separately talking about Duran in an even worse state than Floyd has ever been. I only made mention to past prime Floyd to highlight timeless flaws in his game that were made more apparent in certain fights although the Castillo fight sufficed.
Benitez and Mayweather also operate differently, with Mayweather possessing the major flaws that are trouble in a matchup with Duran.

Besides, re-read Bogotazo's latests posts to you in this thread. You were shown why your hypothesis was completely false based on the Hatton fight alone.

Cotto and Oscar too. And Hatton. And Augustus. It's happened enough that I favor Duran to get inside.

Leonard outboxed Benitez who was as skilled if not more than Floyd, and Duran beat Leonard. So again, Duran has proven he can hang with someone as good as Floyd.

By contrast, Floyd's opponents pale in comparison to Duran, and that's despite having a solid resume.

Leonard outboxed Benitez and Duran beat Leonard , but lost to Benitez.
You can't go by that. Styles make fights.

Roberto Duran already lost to a defensive fighter like Benitez , who had not better skills than Mayweather.

If you had seen the fight from Mayweather against Juan Manuel Marquez for example , you would know
that Mayweather is above elite level ,as a boxing fan , i have never seen something like that.

Benitez had by no means better defensive skills than Floyd Mayweather.
Mayweathers reflexes are on another level.

So. That doesn't mean that he beats Floyd.
