After watching and studying loads of videos of Roberto Duran i realised he threw his right hand differently that the average straight right cross. It wasnt a straight punch it was kind of arched and he rarely threw a straight right he always threw it with the bend in his arm. Can anyone explain how he threw this punch, it isnt a looping right hand totally either. can anybody tell me there thought on this and how he throws this punch?

I've noticed something about it too, actually. I think it's that he turned his right hand punch over to the extent that the "loop" isn't exactly jutting outwards, but arks downward and forward, in a way. It looks like it has great torque on it, and ends up landing without being completely straight. Does that sound right to you?

He was great at getting his right hand to come over or around his opponents glove and he was also great at setting it up. His right hand was quick and he could pull the trigger on it fast as anyone.

Both of your feed backs seem correct in there description I have been studying it hard and the end motion of the punch it definatly in a downwards motion with his body lean forward aon his front foot and also leaning to the left, but weirdly I noytice julio cesar chavez throws the same punch, infact a lot of knock out specialist from them era,s threw that very punch. Even sugar ray robinson threw it, I'm curious as to why this subject has never been highlighted in the past as this punch is clearly deferstating if thrown correctly...

The rights he used against Barkley were a thing of beauty.

Imagine if Victor Ortiz tried to kiss Duran, he would have been clocked by a right hand
