I've seen a few of Ortiz's fights and I can say for certain that he packs a whallop in his punches. I would not be surprised if he knocks Matthysse spark out next Saturday.

We know Matthysse hasn't got the sturdiest of mandibles, scratch that, it's actually not good at all. :yep

Garcia cracked that chin pretty badly and I believe John Molina has shown us that Lucas is already worn out with a cracked mandible.

I could see Ortiz putting him on the seat of his pants in the early rounds and dominating him afterwards.

I think matthysses chin is still there. he took some massive shots off Garcia so that may have taken something out of him but his chin can still hold up for him to get the job done.

anything can happen in boxing we all know that, but if you were betting on Ortiz vs matthysse I know who you'd be putting your money on MVC!

garcia couldn't even beat lucas convincingly when the guy had one eye shut on the contrary it was lucas who was pressing the attack even in the end of the fight..................

garcia lost his last fight to Herrera got battered around the ring in front of his own people great home coming.:yep

While I like lucas and hope he wins, I have tickets to this card and damn sure want this to be a good fight. Hopefully both hit the deck a few times ala the molina fight

Lucas possesses one of the most fragile mandibles in the sport of boxing. If Ortiz can find the mark, i have no doubts lucas is getting knocked spark out

Lucas will easily beat Ortiz by mid round stoppage, Ortiz is no Molina.

Ortiz can hit pretty damned hard, and is arguably a more compact puncher than Molina. But he's not as dynamic or as fast as Matthyse, and has been dropped by lesser punchers. It's not a lock, but I think Lucas would be heavily favored for a reason.

I can definitely see Ortiz taking the starch out of Matthysse with one right hand.

Matthysse has an egg chin, whoever thinks otherwise knows nothing about the sport!

Notice how MVC! is very selective with his words so this thread won't come back to bit him in the ass like his others have. He's learning.
