Jab by Simčič. A couple of jabs by Adamek, who gets a fierce look on his face while building off the jabs into a hard combo of hooks around the sides. Simčič flurries back at him. Both trading body shots almost toe to toe. Simčič is giving ground. Clinch. Adamek carries him back a few steps. Slapping hook to the forehead by Adamek. Simčič flurries but hits arm or misses. Adamek jabs and misses, not extending far enough. Adamek connects with a down-cutting right to the face as Simčič stands in front of him. Another. Simčič flurries and gets blocked. Simčič circles out to the left. Eine minute en der runde. More ineffective flurries by Simčič, and Adamek lands more of those right hand axes. (but doesn't have any power on them).

Good finish. Both threw some big shots despite being tired. Simčič was busier, but Adamek landed some of his best stuff of the night.

Simčič knows he has it, and drapes himself in a red white and blue Slovenian flag cape while spreading his wings and parading around the ring to celebrate.

Good scores. It wasn't quite a shutout, but it wasn't close either.

97-93 and 98-92 are exactly the right range. 99-91 would have been OK too.

 

Wow, Simčič's left eye is badly puffed up and almost all the way shut. Lots of wrinkly bruised skin.



It looks like sloppy vagina.

That must have been from those right hands, because Adamek's preferred weapon (his left slap-hook) wouldn't have landed on that side of Simčič's face.

 

Simčič gives his in-ring interview in German, with him and the interviewer audible to the crowd over the PA.

He seems like a nice, soft-spoken guy. Humble. Happy to be of service. Lots of Danke's.

 

On to the main event.

Hakim Zoulikha is walking to the ring.

No Pianeta vs. Page? :huh They are only in an 8-rounder but each one of them is probably more well-known to the global boxing community than Krasniqi, Zoulikha, Adamek and Simčič put together. (although both Krasniqi and Adamek share last names with famous guys. Are Robin and Luan related? They're both from Junik, Serbia but Luan is 16 years older. Too big a gap to be an older brother, but maybe too small for him to be Robin's dad...)

 

Rocking number performed live (well, karaoke style...live vocals) by a cute female singer to accompany Krasniqi to the ring.

Krasniqi is taller and lankier, and has a square jaw (and kind of a square head overall).

Zoulikha is compact and stocky.
