Robin Krasniqi vs. Hakim Zoulikha & Francesco Pianeta vs. Zack Page RBR

Round 1

Krasniqi jabs from outside, then dances around cutting a wide swath. Zoulikha is trying to bob and weave in behind a high guard but can't cut the ring off. Too much movement from Krasniqi. Lots of jabs and hooks by Krasniqi, thrown with little intent for impact but just getting in Zoulikha's way. Right hand by Krasniqi while turning Zoulikha. Some wild shots by Zoulikha miss trying to catch Krasniqi circling nearby. Body shots from outside by Krasniqi. 1-2 by Krasniqi, blocked. High right hand by Zoulikha, doesn't get there. Krasniqi dances outside some more, bounces off the ropes and comes forward to meet Zoulikha. Neither does anything. Now Zoulikha stabs at him with lefts and rights but Krasniqi dances back toward a corner. Counter right hand by Krasniqi.

I wonder if the idea of this co-feature was to eventually have the winner of Simčič vs. Adamek challenge the winner of Krasniqi vs. Zoulikha (also light heavyweights)? :think

So far these two aren't doing anything to set themselves apart as being on a higher level than Simčič and Adamek.

 

Round 2

Z is opening up with some hard right hands over the top but Krasniqi is still moving around a bit too much for him. Pecking pot shots from outside by Krasniqi, mixing up to head and body. His head is too high and too distant a target for Z except when he makes the mistake of drifting in with his shots. Then Z chops at him with overhands and catches him on the neck and back of the head while Krasniqi curls up and tries to back away. Good combo by Krasniqi from outside. Z throws a high jab and it misses but alters Krasniqi's own shot with his right, making it miss wide. Jabs by Krasniqi, and then a quickly turned over hook to the top of the face while backing up. Z is swinging away with hard shots but just not close enough to land them. Krasniqi is playing matador.

Round 3

Krasniqi is falling in and cracking Z with right hands to the beard while pressed against him. Z is trying to jab him in the stomach and decapitate him with right hands. Lots going into Z's shots but they just aren't touching. Krasniqi lingers inside too long and gets clubbed with some shots to the back of the neck. Right hand by Krasniqi before circling left and dancing out a bit. Z walks him down and bobs and weaves while trying to sweep out a hook to the body. They clinch and spin, with Z's feet coming up off the canvas a bit. 1-2-3 combo by Krasniqi, all blocked as are a couple of follow up shots. Z misses a big wide hook. Another. Krasniqi spins him from out of the corner and tags him with counters. Krasniqi thinks he has Z hurt and chases him into another corner with slaps.

Round 4


Wild overhand right by Z. Left hook to the body by Z, just scraping. Another left hook to the body as Krasniqi backs up to the ropes. Slicing left hook up at chest level by Z, but Krasniqi steps out of its way. Now Krasniqi is caught up against the ropes as Z opens up with a combo, bouncing shots off his guard and shoulders. Now they circle in the middle of the ring, pausing every few steps when one or the other abruptly switches directions. Cat and mouse game here. Z is still aggressively targeting the body and keeping Krasniqi quiet. A minute left. Jab and uppercut by Krasniqi miss. Z feints with some jabs and makes Krasniqi lunge in and miss a right to the body. Clinch. Z jabs his way in from behind his high guard. Looping right to the chest by Z up close. Krasniqi misses a combo, and Z misses a pair of chops. Left hook up close by Z. Krasniqi almost walks into another one throwing a low flurry.

I think any match-up to be made of the four could be a good mesh of styles.

Krasniqi vs. Simčič, Simčič vs. Zoulikha, Adamek vs. Zoulikha...

The only one that might be a bit too "tactical" is Krasniqi vs. Adamek. I could see them both just hanging back and boxing tall behind their jabs with not too much drama and Krasniqi winning a wide but boring decision.

 

Round 5

Krasniqi is whipping some long right hands now, scoring well. Z is wilting and backing up. Krasniqi is really doing a number with that long whipping right hand. They're exchanging up close, chipping away to the body but once they get separation it's all Krasniqi and those whip-cracks to the face. Z finally gets a good combo in at mid-range. He starts to walk Krasniqi back but is just slowly following and allowing him lots of space. They lean together and bump heads together, grinding in. Combo by Krasniqi. Nice whipping hooks to the face by Krasniqi. Z is pumping straight shots but getting badly tooled here in these exchanges even though Krasniqi isn't really turning over any of his punches.
