Former WBC/IBO (and WBF if you count that one) SMW champion Robin Reid (40) best know for blatantly punching poor Sven Ottke in the face in their IBF/WBA Super Middleweight bout more than 7 years ago, did already have a fight last week, outpointing Jamie Ambler (9-46-2, 3KO's) after a 3 year layoff following his TKO loss to Froch.
He will now participate in the British SMW Prizefighter, to get his career up and running again. It doesn't look promising up 'till now... Will he be able to become a legit contender again, or will he end up like most of them?

Reid was a solid world class fighter but had strange off nights, like when he didnt do anything against Malinga in a fight he could have clearly won, it was odd. Reid was never the same after losing to Calzaghe in a game performance but still remained a solid world class SMW who had some good victories.

I dont think Reid will be the same again and will get beaten in Prizefighter by a nobody who he would have clearly beaten 10 years ago

His fight with Ambler was close, I can't imagine him doing anything in prizefighter, where the competition isn't exactly stellar.
