Total bore fest. Pavlik telegraphs a straight right, Reid gets out of the way

    Repeat for 12 rounds

Depends how much pop Reid still has in his punches.

Let's see how he does in prizefighter first though. He could have nothing left. He could still have the tools. He was never a fighter to rely on speed so age could have limited impact on him. At the same time, his body may have softened and his chin may not be as strong as it was (I find the latter hard to believe though, Reid's chin was quality).

Cant wait to see him in Prizefighter, but lets wait and see before pairing him off with anyone else.

yeah same. i like him. he isn't always fun to watch but he can bring it raw. the first few rounds with lacy where a good example of him against a pressure fighter....until he just got run over.

pavlik lacks the mid range which i think ried bosses. low left hand high right hand. left hand to th ebody pavlik then jabs right hand from reid.

in his prime. now....it should be all over. the way froch dealt with him was a shame.

Not beyond the realms of possibility Flea!

If Reid were to win prizefighter then he's still a name for anyone whether that be a prospect, someone looking to rebuild their career, or a tune up for a champion. Stranger things have happened.

As for Pav - in his pomp, Reid dismantles him. Now, he should be far too old. But we wont know until we see Reid in action will we?

i watched him against brinkley. did alright. had trouble by jabbing and moving. but on the inside he was pretty solid....looking at how brinkley got a title shot recently agianst pretty good competition then agian it's not off the realms of possabilty he might still have something in him.....pause

lacy went down hill but lacy's best win is reid
magee knocking on a title shot and European champion
    brinkley gets title shot
carl froch 2 time world champion

i think he retired to early. he did look shot against froch. but he might have some prizefighter level stuff left.

The guy is shot i think though if he had known Froch would become top 2 SMW in the world he might have continued off the back of that. your right he beat brinkley and Magee but the signs were there that his chin isnt what it was and his heart wasnt in it

lol i'm 21 and he was my family fav (my mums scouse) and it makes me feel old as well. it's amazing really how in 5 years you are a world danger former world champion, then an extra on a independent killer *****...undercarded to a 8-9 mma fighter.

he wasn't that bad in it. could be a bit part actor. he has a profile.

He already had an "acting" career.

Paddy, you're right. But for me it just seems mad.

At 168 prime-for-prime I'd favour Reid for sure. Although if he can still make super-middle I see him being fed to James Degale far more likely than Arum deciding he's the man for Pavlik, although Pavliks post-Hop oposition has been dreadful (excluding Sergio of course) :good
