pit the 1950/1951 version of Robinson against Charley Burley. Who would emerge as the winner?

I've got Robinson on points. Too many guns

We don't have enough footage of Burley for me to be confidant in my pick. If I had to choose I would say Robinson in a slightly controversial decision.

By the small amount of footage and Archie Moore's accounts of Charlie, a precise, accurate, no wasted movement, solid right hand punch, but one punch at a time and great feinter. I could see Charlie nailing Ray with right hands but Ray could take them and just had a bigger arsenal that he threw much more of, Robinson by a close but clear decision.

excellent analysis. Charles was a little too conservative. Robinson was more the complete fighter.

Nothing I saw in that brief clip from Burley indicates to me at least that he could beat Robinson.
