Both of these guys knocked somebody out going backwards.

In terms of pure power, I will go with Hearns.

I think that some of Robinsons contemporary admirers such as Joe Louis, would back me on this.

Barkley was a terrible style for him. Tommy could outclass Virgil Hill who would have easily beaten Barkley, but lose to Barkley. In hindsight, had Hearns thrown just a few more left hook to the body and then the head he would have stopped Barkley on TKO. That punch hurt Barkley a few times in the rematch, and Hearns didn't go back to it.

  4. m8... as a fighter , shavers did not have the ,
    nessascary atributes 2 compete w/ the gr8est ,
    Of his era .
    How3v3r, - i do beleve Shavers had the gr8est power ,
of ANY heavy w8. :deal This can go w/out ? (question) tht ,
Shavers was no joke----_-,regardless of his resume .

Robinson actualy ,. had gr8 , athleticism and skillz to , go
along w/ his power , so tht is why he stopped all of ,
    those guys .

Robinson was the definition of explosive.

He could end a fight at any time with almost any punch he threw. He carried his power into the mid and late rounds as well. Sugar Ray didn't depend on one punch though he threw those blinding combinations. He could KO a guy with one shot then hit him with 3 more punches as he was on his way down. Example would be the Olson knockouts.

We know he carried some guys in his prime so maybe his KO% isn't what it could be but he still had over 100 knockouts.

They both brought their power up with them in weight, although I would say SRR had better 2 handed power. Hearns generally relied on his right hand.
