Nah, he was a great one. Though he had done basically nothing up to that point to suggest he was an elite fighter. Was still trying to scrap solidifying himself as top ten material. It's easy to say Jones was better than anybody Ray stopped at MW, but the opposite is even far more true and glaring.
I'd throw in Jorge Castro and Thomas Tate as better wins than Trinidad and Pazienza as well and probably Sugarboy Malinga and Clinton Woods also. Agreed that was a ****ing garbage article as well.
