    Hi all,

I'm hoping that someone on here will know this.

What was the referee's score for the Robinson vs Turpin fight at Earl's Court?

    Thanks in advance!

I've looked around for the referee's scorecard but can't find reference to it.I'm sure some of the Fella's on here will be able to help you.Ive got the whole fight on DVD and my opinion for what it's worth Randy won quite comfortably.Probably by at least 3 or 4 rounds.

I watched the 1985 documentary about Turpin yesterday and the first Robinson fight today (which I hadn't seen for around 15 years.) I thought Turpin had won by 7 rounds. O.k. it wasn't the best SRR ever performed but Turpin still had to give 110%.

Such a tragic loss and when we have 4 "significant" 'World' titles at the moment I think if Randy had been around today he would have easily won one of them and defended it a lot of times.

    RIP

You cannot find the referee“s scorecard anywhere. At that time the scorecards were never made public in England. The winner was announced - ad that was that.

Actually Turpin probably confirmed how good a fighter he was in the 2nd fight.Robinson was in tip top shape and fully motivated and fighting on his own turf but Randy was giving him all the trouble he could handle until he walked into that big right hand.I'm not sure but i think all 3 judges had them level at the time.
