    Hopkins hasn't been successful up there. It is all smoke and mirrors :deal Winky Wright isn't a Lt Heavy and the fight wasn't at 175lbs. Tarver just wasn't in prime or even good condition mentally or physically in that fight.

    But you're right about the size. Hopkins is a natural lt heavy....much bigger man then Hagler.

    Ok, fine but who cares if he didn't win every round, he took over the fight after the 5th round and clearly beat a damn good Judah on that night. He was beating him so bad that Judah hit him with a horribly blatant low blow and rabbit punch. Would he have done that if he was winning?

    First of all, I never stated emphatically that he would beat Hearns straight up (although I would not have been shocked me since Leonard did it), but in a P4P sense he is a better boxer than Hearns was and even Hearns would probably admit that. Do you understand the concept of P4P? Why are you guys turning this into a H2H thread? I'm talking about P4P, HELLOOOOO

    Even P4P, he'd lose to Hearns, as he'd still be shorter for his weight, less powerful, with a lesser reach.

    He'll fight Cotto next year. If he beats Cotto easily people will say Cotto was overrated. If he struggles with Cotto, they will say "see, if he struggled with Cotto how would he have beaten $%$". God help him if he loses to Cotto. He's in a no win situation and unless he could go back in time and beat every single fighter in history from 130-154 you guys will never call him the greatest. No wonder he wants to retire.

    Mayweather beat Hagler? Wow, just wow.

    Southpaw1974 has established himself as one of the worst posters on ESB. That's a tremendous accomplishment. He should be proud.

    No, that is eqaully nuts as stating that Mayweather has a greater than 50% chance of beating Hagler at 160.

    You said something like Mayweather is only 1/2 an inch shorter and only is at a slight reach disadvantage as if that would matter. Because of the size differential.

    So Floyd would take huge amounts of punishment and come forward against a fighter with much more firepower and better boxing ability and put the pressure on him until he KO'd him? Floyd ran against feather-fisted Baldomir for ****'s sake, and you think he's gonna walk down Hearns and KO him? Floyd does not have the ability to fight like Leonard did that night, he would be on his bicycle the entire time if he ever even accepted the fight(which he wouldn't).

    Also, even P4P, the 130 pound Floyd did not have the kind of firepower than Leonard did at 147. Not by any means.

    Go **** yourself!! You are such a nuthugger of every great fighter who came before Mayweather. If Leonard could beat Hagler off a 3 year layoff, what makes you think Mayweather would have no chance?

    sorry, dont have time to go back and rewatch - I do remember scoring it 8 - 4.

    If you think Fraud dominated Zab like Cal dominated Lacy. . .and you think 11 - 1 is reasonable then god bless. I couldnt disagree more but go on if it makes you happy.
