southpaw1974, do you know that Sugar Ray Robinson sometimes fought twice a month? He fought 13 times in 1965 which was his last year as a pro. Can you imagine fighting at a professional level with sometimes a week or two to recover and get ready for your next opponent? You also know he had 200 fights right?

Tell me you knew these things before diving into this thread.

I wonder if SRR would have run for 12 rounds from Baldomir?

He'd probably be top 10 yes, but he's quite easily Floyd's best win. He wasn't an easy fight though, not at all. He won at least 4 rounds off Floyd, and some had him drawing or even winning. I had it 6-5-1 for Floyd if I recall correctly, maybe 7-5.

We're not stating that old fighters are better because they fought more often, we're countering this guy's extremely flawed argument that Floyd is better because he is undefeated. It all comes down to opposition, and Floyd doesn't hold a candle in that regard.

This is the only post I've looked at and as stupid and misinformed of an opinion as has ever been. I won't even bother looking into this thread any further. Any boxing fan with even the slightest bit of historical knowledge knows the truth.
