I guess it takes a genius of ATG proportions to realize that you need to drink plenty of fluids when it's hot.
Hey I grew up in the Bronx...100degrees F is outrageous considering 1) how humid it can be and 2) the big lights added heat. A LOT of heat. I used to sleep out on the fire escape in the summer...no AC.
Ingesting fluids between rounds is not a good practice. Robinson had a good team around him. There is no way that they could forecast that the fight would occur on the hottest day of the year. Hardly anyone feels that Maxim would have won if it wasn’t for the heat.
Your last statement illustrates how asinine it is when people fail to give credit where credit is due, while moving heaven and earth to excuse the failures of those deemed worthy by the establishment elites, all the While mocking modern fighters for their own failures
Because he didn't fight smart, punched himself out, and allowed the bigger man to lean all over him rather than using his legs and creating space
The more he used his legs, the more energy he expended. He had to fight the way he did - it wasn't bad tactics.
Well, just to be fair, low level club fighters all over Mexico train and fight under similar conditions all the time...it's never used as an excuse when they lose
