It isn't massive in either country but the TV money in the US for non-PPV's is far more than in the UK and Degale vs Dirrell isn't PPV in either, so it would be worth more in the US if it's on at 9-10pm there time.

Froch vs Ward is UK PPV and it will do a hell of a lot less buys if it's on at 4am here and that's where the big money is.

Much more sense and value in staging it in the UK, but RocNation seem happy to work on losses as they find their feet in the boxing world and I can see them outbidding for this one too

Not long term but they've said they plan on making their boxers into superstars much like NFL/NBA/MLB players. Those players sign multimillion £ sponsorship deals to lash their face on anything or put their name against anything.

It's only really Mayweather and maybe Pacquaio who hold that type of brand power at the moment, Mayweather seems reluctant to sign any such deals and Pacquiao doesn't seem to care much either.

If Jay-Z has to do a few concerts the day before fights to get people into the arena and cover his loses short term then it makes sense. More people seeing his fighters and more casuals attending shows. Then the next time he puts on a show those people will return and he won't need to do a gig.

Roc-Nation's entire boxing strategy is great for the growth of the sport, it might not work but if it does everybody will make millions and the sport will grown enormously.

It takes millions to make millions, if their model works they'll lose a fair bit in the short term, but long term they'll rake in unbelievable amounts of money.

Have a read back through what you've written, you clearly have no idea about business.

Have you any idea how much planning it takes to " do a few concerts " ?

Andre Ward will NEVER appeal to a casual sports fan, his fighting style and lack of personality are just not fan friendly, no matter how good he is.

Do you think the fights will be announced with 2 days notice or something you div? Fight gets announced, concert gets announced - month/s in advance.

Kanye West arranged a sell out 13,000 gig last year with 7 hours notice but go ed lad.

I know, that's why I brought up the point - it means RocNation can bid more for a fight which otherwise wouldn't make huge money in America, you little ming. Good try though.
