Hows this one going to go? I can see Crolla starting this off like he did in the second Derry fight, trying to dance around avoiding any real exchanges. But Gavin is a lot more aggressive than Derry and on a whole new level by Derry's own admission. I'm sure Rees won't come out all guns blazing and burn himself out like his last outing but as Crolla tires I can see a mid to late stoppage as long as long as Rees keeps his work-rate up. I got 13/10 on a Rees stoppage the other day, think that was good value.
Does anyone know what order the undercard is and possibly the times of ring walks etc? I'm at work on site and don't have time to check. Cheers.
Main event is supposed to start at 10PM (could be bit later), with 3 under card fights starting at 8.15 On Sky Sports. I think Rees wins by stoppage.
If Hearn was sensible he'd start the Main Event just before ten as not to clash with The Rolling Stones who are being shown on BBC Two at half ten and will draw big numbers tonight. Apologies for the Nafflad-esque post.
I can see Crolla throwing shots trying to pick off Rees and maybe edging the first 2 or 3 rounds. But then I expect Gavin to come on strong at the half way point and force the referee to step in. Crolla is a good domestic fighter and I think Gavin Rees in a fringe world level fighter. If Crolla can pick this up and win he could maybe earn a shot at Ricky Burns. And why not? not something Ricky Burns should be aiming for though. He should be beating Beltran and then looking for that unifaction bout we all want to see.
I'm hoping crolla wins but i cant see him going much further than this, should be a good fight tho. Only if i had sky sports atsch
I was tipping Crolla but after seeing a clip of Ree's training im not so sure Crolla can take the power of Ree's, so ill go for Ree's to win round 6 or 7 by KO
