Had he just went right to Lewis as the agreement stipulated it would have been interesting to see Bowe's camp. Whatever doubts Bowe had about beating Lewis would have lit a fire under him. Revenge is a helluva incentive. Bowe may have took that talent to another level. Lewis was still developing. Riddick Bowe needed Rock Newman to believe he could beat Lewis. The Dokes fight was ok. A victory lap but Bowe needed to be challenged.
I don't like him at all. I remember that time he took one of Bowe's opponents in a headlock after a scuffle from outside the ring and then Bowe contributed to the problem by hitting the guy. I forget the fight, but there is not great about this guy.. I just remember thinking this guy is no good. He was an instigator.
I don't think so. Bowe is a professional fighter and he needs Newman's help to hit him and knock him out of the ring or whatever happened? I have not seen that for years, but I remember how I thought Rock Newman is not great. Newman liked the controversies to get attention.
It was very tongue in cheek. I had an interaction with Rock and did not walk away with a favorable opinion...
oh, so you don't mean the appreciation? I always felt he was an attention getter and he didn't mind putting people at risk with scuffles he instigated. He influenced a lot of the problems.
It was really Newman that kept Bowe away from Lewis. Newman told Bowe to punch Larry Donald. He also started the riot in MSG.
Are you being funny? Great man? Hardly. The man was a racist type. He did more to ruin Bowe than help him
Grammar police alert, red. You end that sentence with a full stop, or period, as you Americans call it. Should have been a semi-colon
