The 3 knockdown rule wasn't in effect you idiot! How could Paulie pay the Russians off he almost got himself killed during the press conference for his antics. Paulie was lucky to be alive. I think we're all missing the real hero in that film. Had Paulie not given the most brilliant tactical advice ever seen in boxing or Rocky history during that fight Rocky would've surely lost. Rocky would have been confused by the 3 Drago's, but Paulie said "Hit the one in the middle" to which the black guy agreed and that made history. Paulie totally redeemed himself from his nervous breakdown in the corner of the Lang-Balboa I fight where he told Rocky to "go out and kill the man, just kill him." Later in the middle of the second round he rectifies this by yelling "Don't stand toe to toe" but it was already too late. The damage had been done.

Drago retired after that fight after rocky insisted on OSDT for a rematch.

 

Creed in his prime would've trounced Drago. A completely shot Creed was outclassing Drago in the first half of round 1, and he was mostly showboating then. The only reason the fight went the way it did was because of Dragoid's freakish strength blindsiding him once, and Creed was way too old to recover after that. Hell, even old Creed could've come back from that shot if he took the time to do some real conditioning training.

I had the Balboa-Drago fight scored 140-129 before the knockdown.

 

prime Drago was spectacular.

 

Drago was all Hype. If you cut him, and then let him wail on you for the next 12 rounds, he loses his heart and gets knocked down. No heart.

 

He's clearly the GOAT. He did the most with the least.

Did Drago not watch the Clubber Lang film?

 

Rocky made a simple adjustment in Balboa-Lang 2.

In the first fight, he came out strong and took the fight to Lang. Punching Lang in the face didn't work straight off . So in the second fight, he encouraged Lang to punch him in the face. THEN he came out strong and punched Lang in the face.
