He's not the sharpest tool in the box and he seems to go to bits every time a camera is put in his face but Rocky seems like a good lad.

He might not be a world beater but he has won Prizefighter, has been English Champion with decent wins agains Wayne Reed and Carl Dilks and now has the Commonwealth title.

He sells a lot of tickets and I'm sure he will be in some good fights in the next few years, there is no shame if he stays at domestic level. He also has a good trainer in Oliver Harrison. I will be keeping an eye on him and wishing him all the best...

Do you know what, lack of ambition is the impression I got when watching his after fight interview. Maybe I was wrong and maybe so is the OP, but that's just how it came across.

I understand that you have to be realistic in the boxing game and by all accounts I've heard, Fielding is a top guy in and out of the sport but he's on the path to a British title and a fight between him and Smith would sell in the city of Liverpool.

Really, he could and perhaps should be pushing for that fight.

There's no doubt he can win a British title in my view but you have to want it.
