I think the Frank ****** promoted Rocky Fielding might be in for a rude awakening this weekend.

He's 15-0 with 8 knockouts. Thing is, several of those wins or even stoppages need asterisks next to them. He isn't doing much of anything impressive in the ring.

Him and Joe Ainscough went at it for a round and the fight was stopped on two cuts he was on the wrong end of.

His Prizefighter stoppage win over Tobias Webb win isn't particularly impressive considering Webb was off two grueling matches to get to the final where as Fielding was far fresher. Webb was simply completely exhausted.

There isn't much special about Akrong, besides an iron chin and a bit of a punch.

Thing is, his stoppage losses come against Marco Antonio Rubio, who literally had to beat him near death to stop him. Absolutely brutal fight.

His other stoppage loss was against world title challenger Osumanu Adama, who challenged Daniel Geale for his IBF title.

I'll take a teak tough Ghanian over a regional level fighter in the UK, without any outstanding qualities, any day.

Generals thoughts? I don't think Akrong should be a 7/1 underdog in this matchup

I happen to know Rocky personally and I can tell you he's in tremendous shape. When he won Prizefighter he was a little soft around the middle and in his subsequent fights he didn't have much of a game plan and tried to blast people out. Now he's really transformed physically and looks stronger and much fitter. He wasn't unfit, he was in good shape, but he's knuckled down and genuinely believes he can get Akrong out of there early.

    But I won't pretend that 7-1 isn't a big price.

Akrong is as game as they come as well, the Rubio beating he took needs to be seen to be believed.

I just don't know if Rocky has anything to keep Akrong off of him.

This is a 12 round fight, and almost all of Rocky's fights are 3 rounders.

Akrong was fighting 12 rounders seven fights into his career.

I think the same, Fielding is nothing special, nothing even close to special. Really average fighter, another weak Sky card aswell.

I believe IB is the only person on the planet to of seen more than one Akrong fight, so his input here would be interesting.
