What was so special about his era then?

Weak era's are ten a penny, as are era's who don't have many big fighters.

You could argue that the fifteen round distance was particularly suited to the pure swarmer.

Would Marciano have a chance to rule in the 80's, 90's, or 00's?

Would Holmes, Tyson, Lewis, or Wlad have the same chance in the 1950's?

It depends whether he is swapping places with those guys, or going head to head with them.

Why do people even wanna compare such a legend of Marciano against modern boxers? It's not fair! Look what he managed to do in his era instead!

Marciano will always be a legend to me whatever you say.

That's the question the OP asked.

    I agree emphatically.

Louis was very close in size to Ali and I have seen picture of them both together so they were either both 6'2 or more or less not much difference either way. I have spoken to friends of Marciano and guys that trained with him, he was around 5'11, possibly a hair taller or shorter but 5'11....he never really stood up strait so he may look shorter but 5'11 and 188lbs was still small, Tyson may have been closer to 5'9-5'10 but was heavier.....Its funny how people try and make him shorter than he was

Louis was 6'1.5", according to what he wrote in his autobiography. Tyson is a t least 5'10" I saw him at Wembley, under 6' but definitely over 5'9"

Yea a friend of mine is a light heavy and he is about 5'10 and said he knows Mike pretty well and Tyson were about the same height give or take

I always thought Louis was under 6'2 but he and Ali looks close in height, Ali said he was 6'2 so he may be right if Louis is 6'1.5
