After years of legal battles and talks of Holmes making more money fighting Ceaser Brion, Marciano finally forces Holmes into the ring. Dancing around for many rounds, Holmes thumbs Rocky in the eye with his signature open glove jab, slicing his eye open. Marciano complains to the ref, who does nothing, so he hammers Holmes after the bell with a Suzie Q. Getting up and staggering back to his corner, Holmes smiles at his corner and tells them he's just playing around. Getting dropped from a legal right hand after failing to clinch in the 13th, Holmes rises only to be finished by more right hands that send his mouth piece flying into the front row. A bloodied Marciano says Holmes was the toughest man he ever fought, Larry shakes his head,"I had the flu. My dog was sick. My hotel needed a new paint job. I didn't thumb nobody. Marciano is a crybaby. I'm the greatest. I was robbed."

:-( Galento would smoke the two of them. It's the difference between a god contender and wannabe-journeymen. Galento would KO both of them

  5. tommy forget it and get real. he would lose by decision and sam might well ko him, simple they had better skill, he were bigger men, in better shape, faster, and stronger. galento was a limited fat with some hitting power, end of the history

Marciano never complain when he got foul. Walcott must have landed like what? Over 100 rabbit punchings on Marciano, and Marciano didnt complain.

If Holmes does a foul, I think Marciano would foul right on back. Maybe a elbow or a headbutt would about make it even for the thumb.

Styles-makes-fights aside Anyone I rank above Jersey Joe Walcott and Ez Charles as heavyweight champions is giving Marciano life and death - and I rank Larry Holmes over Jersey Joe and Ez - but I just think The Rock just doesn't yield - he doesn't let defeat become an option - he finds a way - Larry likely boxes his head off but eventually Marciano finds his punches

That's a VERY tough group. I think Louis would have the most problems simply because the modern heavyweights are so big. BUT, if we're talking 15 rounds, then I like Joe to clean up the modern blubberweights...

Walcott's, Ezzard's and Moore's jab failed to dominate there fights with Marciano, and these guys had top jabs.

Although i would have to pick holmes based on size, skill, and speed, you could never count rock out. Anybody who hit as hard as he did would always have at least a punchers chance against almost anyone he faced. Also take into consideration the fact that holmes was susceptible to the right, which was marciano's sunday punch.

I would pick holmes by wide decision or stoppage on cuts but I wouldn't be willing to bet my house on it.

Seriously guys, what does Larry have to keep this savage bulldog away from him?

I'd bet on Marciano by brutal beatdown.

*39* year old Walcott was up on the cards and making it look easy before Marciano landed a luncy punch in the 13th...
