How would he do against the modern 190-200lb monsters?

I don't like any of their chances outside of Holy and Qawi...i would still favor him over Qawi...Not sure about Holy???

Honestly, I would bet on him against any one of them in his prime. If some of them caught him at the tail end of his career, that might be trouble.

I would agree with this. Against people of his own poundage he can mix it with anyone, including past Heavyweight legends around the same weight.

Making list long does not mean we have to say "OK, he'd lost to a few" He beats them all, plus the heavyweights.

If Marciano fought past 30 years, he would likely come in a bit heavier. If Klitschkos fought in 1950's, either brother would not lift weights, would both be around 210 tops.

Vitali wouldn't have had the option to use steroids.

The Rock v Holy would have been interesting but I still see Marciano taking it. Didn't know how to lose did he.

    His style wouldn't suit a 27 year career !

Agreed. And it is in this group that he should be judged.

I would back Marciano with big money against ANY sub 190lb boxer in history over 15 rounds, and I am not a gambler by nature.

Confident he'd beat Dempsey? I myself would back The Rock.

Yes I am actually, JT1. It would be tough, but I would back Marciano, I think he was probably the physically stronger of the 2, with better punch resistance and probably better defensively - I feel Marciano's defence is often underrated.

Marciano was a force of nature...he hit like a much bigger man...he was mentally tough as well...don't bet against The Rock...

Substance is the word for Marciano, and he had more than anyone on that list.

Have him face everybody and he is going to lose a few, but against any single fighter he would mash them into defeat.

Qawi would be out-gunned, Holyfield would be out-worked and the rest would suffer these two outcomes in various degrees.
