I believe the general comments by the Germans about the Americans in WW2 were that the Americans were mediocre, but had such an overwhelming supply and equipment advantage that it was impossible to fight them. You could outshoot them, you could outfight them, but it didn't matter, because they'd launch artillery barrages using more ordinance in a single barrage than your entire battalion had. And they could just keep on launching those barrages.

    Unique situation for a war.

As to Lewis vs. Marciano, come on people. Marciano is giving up 60+lbs, 7in in height, and 16in in reach. Planning on sending bantamweights in against Beterbiev?

Are you seriously comparing Rocky Marciano to Vitali Klitschko ?
    Come on man, get real.
I know some of the younger generation places too much emphasis on size
but Klitschko is so much bigger than Marciano that it is totally inappropiate
to compare the two fighters in this context.

Yeah similar to how its inappropriate to compare John Ruiz to RJJ, or Evander Holyfield to Nikolai Valuev, or Jack Sharkey to Primo Carnera, or Jess Willard to Jack Dempsey

    ... Wait a second...

Anyway Lewis looked like **** that fight and all i said is that Marciano *has a chance*, i already said that steroid era vs non steroid era fighters shouldnt be compared

Rocky would spend weeks eating his ma's pasta, scarfing up a dozen cannolis after every meat in an effort to bulk up. He waddles into the ring weighing 220 pounds. The extra blubber around his gut and his eyes absorbs Lewis' jabs and hooks, but eventually, 4th or 5h round, a straight right lands flush on Rocky's nose were fat was unable to accumulate. The nose explodes, nostrils splitting, blood squinting out like a samurai slice.

Lewis by 5th round ko as the doctor stops the fight with Marciano sitting on his stool in a pool of blood.

Vitali Klitschko is a huge ATG,whereas John Ruiz,Nikolai Valuev,Primo Carnera, and Jess Willard were simply huge.
Also why on earth did you select a fight in which Lewis was at his worst ?
That version of Lewis would still destroy the best version of Marciano no matter what the
    circumstances.

    1. Vitali Klitschko underperformed in his era similarly to the men you mentioned

    2. I did not pick that version of Lewis, the original poster did

    3. Great

Your opinions on Vitali Klitschko are bizarre to say the least, but there's no need to
    have you arrested.

Imagine Lennox leaning his full weight on Marciano's head and catching him with one of those uppercuts... :scared1
