Marciano but it would be a good scrap, for a while.
I think by 56 Baker's hands were going on him.

    Good to see you back.

It would probably be a bad fight. Marciano wasn’t going to go on forever was he?

I love this fight and it should have happened. I see Baker in the best shape of his life utilizing his size and boxing ability to full advantage to get off to a fast start with Marciano slowly, patiently working the inside game and eroding the big man where he could. And I could see Rocky ending it between 7-10 rounds of a very good fight.

BTW, Richard, great seeing you in action once again.

Can see Rocky getting dropped at least once and banged about a fair bit.. Would be similar in some way s to the result of the Moore fight, with Bob finally being stopped in around 9.

Early Ko for Rocky. Unbeknownst at the time Baker started his Steep decline that year. Was knocked out by a lot of lesser opponents. Would be an interesting fight if Marciano failed to train properly.

From March 54 until October 59, when he had his last fight, he wasn't stopped by anyone.

Bob lost twice to Hurricane Jackson in '56.
Rocky left boxing before he declined. If Rocky had stayed around too long and was on the decline in the ring, Baker nay have had a chance. That's his only chance imo. Bob looks a good fighter and very competent, but I don't think he had the power to beat a Rocky in peak form.

Besides Archie knocking him out in March of 54 he wasn’t stopped again...which is interesting but he started losing to lesser opponents come 56 on. I don’t think his chin could take Marciano for the 15. Baker would have faired better against other good fighters I think. Marciano was all wrong for him.

I'd pick Marciano at any stage of Baker's career, but the version with sound hands would have given him a good go for a few rounds.

Got to go with Marciano in this one. Bob wasn't exactly a slickster and would be there for The Rock as long as this one lasted.

This would be pretty grueling. Baker could be so off and on though. Sometimes he could boring, other times he would slug it out. I would think he would know how deadly Marciano's power was and try to outbox him. In that case, Rocky beat much better boxers than Baker, and I'll go with Marciano TKO 10. If Baker opts to slug it out, KO 8. Pretty good fight no matter what Baker decides to do.

    Dear The Seamus

It's odd seeing you favor Marciano over anyone. But between me and you, I knew you would come around!

He should just wade in and throw his best punches like how McClellan did against Benn.
