The guy who sparred hundreds of rounds against peak Tyson (cancelling once), would get stopped by the LHW-CW-Champ.
    Just when will RBV stop??

Chris Byrd was 6'2", prime Muhammad Alis weight and nimble as a weasel you muppet!

Byrd weighing 165Ibs a year ago, and he fought at middleweight at the olympics.

He says himself he just ate a ton of junk food and piled on fat to get up to over 200Ibs, because of desperation at not being able to get promoted.

I keep forgeting fat gives you super powers. Well as long as it's modern fat, else it doesn't count, like the 230-240Ib Tony Galento.

And, probably most importantly, Chris Byrd was a southpaw and probably at that time the best southpaw ever seen in the heavyweight division. Today, southpaws are not that unusual and fighters have experience fighting them. In Byrd's time they were still unusual, but orthodox fighters were beginning to fight them. And, Byrd, like FMJ, Tyson Fury, Lomachenko, the Russell brothers, RJJ, was raised in a boxing family, had been in the gym his whole life, he did things in the ring that most could never learn.

Funny that this excuse counts only when we talk about modern fighters. Someone like Fitzsimmons (who fought almost since birthday till his death) is just stupid and terrible fighter, he can't be special.

Byrd situation just shows how easily you can gain functional weight today. Byrd could fight one fight at 210 lbs and the next one at 160 lbs. It wasn't unusual for him.

Fighters from 1890s to 1970s couldn't do that. Today they would likely do that. If you think that Louis would fight at 205 lbs at HW in 2010s, you're wrong. Same with Marciano who fought at very low weight for his statue. I don't doubt that he would fight at around 200 lbs at CW and he would weigh even more if he tried HW division.

McCall would love to fight a 185 pound Tough guy who bleeds easily, was outboxed by shopworn journeyman until he landed his Sunday punch, was getting decked by balding Pensioners and had 40 plus cans on his record as filler......

McCall iced a Prime Lemmie with ONE shot...........and blew away future title holder Russkie Oleg in one.......yeah he is going to shake in his boots facing a 5'9 straight in your face brawler........Marciano gets finished in less than 4.

Marciano beat fighters who were technically superior. Sometimes that happens.

    Nonsense......

Marciano fought at his IDEAL weight when he competed ......he was crude, slow, short and had minimal reach but had a iron will and trained for extreme stamina............if you add another 25 pounds to his 5'9 frame he is a siitiing duck and his stamina goes right out the window.Fact.

He was outboxed/outslugged by the Social Security recipients he fought in his signature wins but when there legs gave out he took over aka his youth prevailed......Prme Tyson/Bowe/Lewis would walk right thru those Oldtimers Marciano fought without breaking a sweat and would be crucified by the Press taking on those old shopworn skinny has beens...Fact.

It was a hyperbole, you don't have to take all my words literally.
