    He was, end of.
I know it hurts that someone smaller than Liston like Satterfield KOed him easier than Liston, since that hurts Liston legacy and also the hype about Williams...and Liston destroying "monster".

Really hoping 'dog's paw' isn't some Aussie euphemism.

My eyes, my eyes. Can't get that image out of my head now.

You mean you don't like someone to beat Liston opponents easier than him because it hurt his legacy and hype about him?

So, we should pay attention to Rusty Payne stopping Ted Lowry before Marciano struggled to an alleged decision over him?

Alright, I'll tell you your baseless accusation.
Meanwhile if you noticed earlier, I conclusively acknowledged my mistake on Cleveland Williams earlier in the thread.
So tell me, If I didn't want to hear facts then why was I so willing to admit my mistake about Cleveland Williams. Here's an accusation that I'll actually back up, You have a bully mentality, You'll pretend to have an air of composure but when someone disagrees with you and voices a differing opinion than you then you'll constantly attack them. Here's your first post in this thread.
It didn't take long for you to change your tune when I didn't acquiesce to your opinion and decided to question, Which you did nothing to disprove, Instead you took the approach where you constantly attack me as a rocky fan boy in an attempt to discredit my opinions because I dared to defend Rocky Marciano, Especially when this threads point in the first place was me defending my position that Rocky Marciano hit harder than Sonny Liston.
Notice how you are constantly affirming that you "admire" Marciano, You wouldn't have to do this if you truly did admire Marciano. This is manipulative, It's simply a method for you to avoid being called a Marciano hater because you clearly have a vendetta against him which is obvious to anyone with a brain. And now most notably, You even drag it into other threads.
That thread was about the Hardest punchers under 190lbs and I mentioned Archie Moore, And of course you discredited me, Not because of anything I said in that Thread, I simply said that Archie Moore deserved to be in the discussion but you also tried to discredit my arguments as being "Facile" or simple, Even though I was the one in this thread posting video's to back up my points.

Here's another Baseless accusation but this one is more embarrassing because it's in the very same post you told me to tell you where the baseless accusations are.
"You are a classic Rocky Fan Boy who can't bare any evaluation of Marciano that is not 100% worship"
Here's I'll give you a good description of Rocky, Rocky Marciano was a strong bull of a fighter who would grind you down with a combination of Brutal two fisted Power, Great Stamina, A variety of Punches from Different Angles as well as Underrated Defence
However, He was often times the stronger man in the ring in spite of his small stature this is one factor where the age of his opponents really was relevant and he had an absolutely miniscule reach for a heavyweight, He also tended to start slow, not to mention he could get quite sloppy. I'd pick Sonny Liston to beat Marciano honestly, I don't ascribe to the belief that "skills being equal a bigger man will always triumph" Simply because a bigger man will have a different skillset to a smaller man simply due to the different attributes that come with their size which is the same for a smaller fighter. But Sonny has everything that I think would give Marciano hell.

"I started watching films of Marciano's fights in the middle 60's,I have 4 biographies on him and have interviewed Don Cockell about the Rock."
Post a screenshot of your 4 autobiographies of Marciano... Also you expect me to just take your word that you interviewed Don Cockell. I happen to be a person who doesn't take something someone says at face value and this is why I'm constantly asking you to provide a source for your claims because at the end of the day it's easy to be dishonest about this type of thing. And even then I don't think testimonies in general are reliable because someone could always have an agenda. When you provided Archie Moore's opinion on who he saw as the hardest puncher he fought, He said Curtis Sheppard yet I countered that because I think he was being dishonest due to how their bouts ended. Marciano Knocked Moore down multiple times and KO'd him, Archie beat Sheppard by UD twice. Sheppard probably hit really hard but with the result of how both bouts ended I think Archie saying Sheppard was just to stroke his own ego... I mean Marvin Hagler said that Alan Minter had the best chin of his opponents... Do you honestly believe that is true?

But Marciano beat Lowry in the rematch even mpre convincingly and wasn't KOed like Williams or beaten by Marshall like Listom.

Don't even try to argue, he said that anyone under 200 lbs hit as hard and that everyone above 200 lbs punch harder than him.
And he also said that Marciano power is only because good training camps...laughable.

I know what the thread is about,I created it.
If I was not an admirer of Marciano I would not have bought a collection of his fights and 4 biographies of him .
You countered nothing you asked for proof of my quotes,I provided it then you proceeded to disagree with the men who stated their opinions, and put your own spin and interpretation on to why they made those choices, because their opinions do not jive with your agenda they must be lying? How arrogant is that?
This may come as a shock to you but your opinion of me means absolutely nothing to me.
I rate you on a par with Boxing Fan for quality of input,or rather lack of it and often mix the two of you up.lol
And you can continue liking each other posts because nobody else is going to!

Considering their reach, Marciano had more pounds of pressure per inch.

You didn't provide proof of your quotes you only provided proof about of Archie Moore saying that Marciano didn't hit him the hardest. That's 1 I repeat 1 time you actually provided a source. The other ones you haven't provided a source for.
"I rate you on par with boxing fan for quality of input or rather lack of it and often mix the two of you up.lol"
Another baseless accusation. Funny how you suddenly dropped that when you asked me to point that out.

If you haven't grasped this by now ,let me spell it out once more,I rate your opinions, both those about boxers and about myself as valueless.
You and the other loon can spout as much nonsense as you like,it doesn't touch me and it doesn't concern me.
I couldn't care less if you believe me or not, because I do not care one iota about your perception of me or your opinions on Marciano and boxing in general.
Those who like myself have been here for some years know that I provide primary sources for my quotes for the benefit of those whose opinions I respect. You do not qualify in that category.
I am now far too old to waste my time engaging further with closed minded fan boys.
Now you can have the last word, which I am sure will involve you saying I am avoiding your questions,I am,not because I cannot provide sources, but because I do not give a flying **** about your opinion and cannot be bothered to go through my archives to satisfy your minuscle brain, only to have you denigrate my proof as you did over Archie Moore's quotes with your own spin.
To encapsulate you don't matter to me,neither your opinions, nor your negative comments.

Have fun with your fellow Rockista, pat each other on the back and be content with that, because you ain't getting any respect or credibility from me! Bye!
