Yeah Chuvalo was a sick one. He just sat there with his hands at his chest while Foreman tie'd off and he took it like it was nothing. But I doubt he wouldve stood up to that for another 2 or 3 rounds. He was getting nailed clean with hard combos. I think it wouldve caught up to him in the next round or two.

And like someone else said Chuvalo does have his wits about him. Semms like a smart guy and doesnt slur or anything. And he looks pretty good too. Freak of nature that ****ing guy is.

Yeah, I agree, George probably would've gotten him eventually going the way they were going. But he may have gassed too. Punching a rock is tiring.

In green: It's shocking to me that either Foreman or Chuvalo seem perfectly fine now after their careers.

Jeebus, this dude talks clearer and talks more sense than some active boxers today, who didnt receive a quarter of the punishment he took on top of the ring.

Chuvalo is great he came to my school once and told us his life story and about his kids overdosing on cocaine and that. He showed us the fight between him and Ali also.

He may not have been the most talented but god damn if he hasn't had a tougher life than any of us will ever face.

Marciano was his manager for a fight or two and helped him break into the pro's after seeing Geroge win 4 fights in 1 day.

There's a documentary called "The last round" about his 1st fight with Ali and gives an overview of Chuvalo's career. If you can find it it's an awesome watch.

Didn't know he spoke Croatian 1:00

George was smarter than he is sometimes given credit for. He wasnt just head hunting he was ripping Chuvalo to the head and with brutal body shots. George almost couldnt miss him he was landing so regularly and even when theyre boxing George was outboxing him.

The manager was entering the ring when the ref stopped it. Chuvalo was eating flush shot after flush shot in the corner without throwing back. It was only a matter of time, George stops him either way.

That aint saying Chuvalo aint a hard ******* with a granite chin, but George was smart to go to the body. Just like trinidad who hit mayorga a million times in the head but ultimately it was a body shot that stopped him.

Chuvalo would still be a journeymen if he fought today. Let's not kid ourselves. I had these arguments about guys with granite chins being remembered as something better than they were.

Well you definitely got "Rico Spadafora" 's glass chins on one side and "George Chuvalo" on the totally opposite side.

If all fights were a 100 rounds, George would make all other boxers get into "Voodoo spells", nevermind PEDs...

Some guys who dont even take that much punishment compared to these guys slur like **** these days. Chuvalo would make an awesome announcer though.
