    The interview talks about:

    • Marciano's mindset
    • His distrust of decisions
    • His toughest fight (which he quotes is Walcott 1)
    • And he quoted Jerry Quarry as likely to be the next heavyweight champ. At least he believed Quarry was the best contender at the time.

I find the Walcott quote to be the most interesting. I've heard lots of debate over this, he quoted in an interview after the Moore fight that Moore was "one of the toughest... would also include Walcott and Ezzard Charles"

We've all heard the quote that "Ezzard Charles was the toughest", but I believe this quote was taken out of context. I believe that Marciano was remarking about Charles' chin, his ability to take a punch. Marciano has stated that Walcott was the hardest puncher he ever fought. This would explain why Roland LaStarza, who went the distance with Marciano in their first fight, was brought up.

After the first Charles fight, Marciano compared the fight to his first fight with Walcott. Could it be that he needed time to think of a decision?

I found it interesting that he viewed Ali as "definitely the best around" as a fighter in the era and figured it would be Quarry who would be the big draw in boxing. It would've been cool to hear his prediction for Quarry-Frazier.
