Just Uploading this Video, Hope you Aussie Classic fans enjoy this. Its hard to imagine he was dead not long after this, God Bless you Rocky, A Real Humble Man [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVNXhP0pU50[/ame]
He'd have to wait until Ali was asleep and use a Louisville Slugger. Ali by demolition... Ali is alllll wrong for him.
closer to a Lt Heavy....What is your Point? a 84kg Henry Cooper had Ali in La La land, the only thing saving him was Angi Dundee Cutting his Glove. On the Other Hand a 98kg Sonny Liston & a 99kg George Foreman Didn't Come Close to Stopping Ali. i Do not like it when People use Stats to Judge a Fight, its to One Dimensional for the Sweet Science.
The fact that Clay was up at the count of 4 to me means he would've been able to continue against Cooper. Marciano was relentless, but Ali in his prime is too fast, with excellent recuperative powers and probably the greatest chin of any heavyweight. Ali by late round TKO. Rocky's face would be a bleeding battered mess.
I think the major deciding factor in this is Ali's capacity to score repeatedly & knock fighters out on the back foot. Come forward fighter like Rocky would not have a plan to beat Ali (Apart from coming foreward), but Ali would have several to beat Rocky. I know he could punch, but if Ali could take everything that Foreman dished up in Zaire, I couldn't see the Rock doing any better. One of the big things at the time of the Frazier loss was the punch count. It was something 500+ to Joe's 300+. Bill Recht's score card of 11-4 for Frazier stunk in the eyes of the many fans, journo's & regulars etc. God bless The Rock.
Sharing your view & reasoning here Rodin. There are versions of Marciano that might have beaten versions of Ali IMO. But peak Ali vs peak anyone, including Marciano, and my money's on Ali.
