    there is evidence that marciano did lose a fight before he went pro. back then you could go pro and if you didnt like it go back into the amatuers. it seems that he did both. went semi-pro against a few people. point was that he was fighting pretty good ams while also maintaining a sort of a pro career on the side.


    point is yes he did lose by the time he was a pro but it wasn't a professional boxing match it was glorified sparring. and besides every undefeated fighter in the world has been beaten at some point.

    -ruslan chagaev went pro while still in the ams
    -the norris brothers changed names at ams so they could get 2 tourneys in a week than not. so terry norris and orlin norris went in to a competition in one place on saturday, then on sunday norris terry & norris orlin fights in an other tourney across the boarder







    vernon forrest lost to peter richardson in the olympics.

    Jack Matthews was at one-time doctor to the British Boxing Board of Control as well as one-time team doctor for the British Lions.
