Makes operfect sense. Most probably Rocky replaced an adicction with another addiction. Box and Sex.

Obssesive personalities are just like that: religion, work, sex, betting, sport, whatever, they focus madly on something. Their addictions change but the obssesive trait stays.

I wouldn’t be surprised. I remember a story from Marciano’s son who I had on Facebook. One time Rocky’s dad was making him salad when Weill scolded him for that. Rocky slammed him against the wall and told him not to ever talk to his father like that again.

 

It's in one of those biographies I think its Skehan's not that I think its important one way or the other. As Champion he denied himself life's pleasure's when he retired he made up for it ,he was a healthy young male and women were available to him , seems pretty natural to me.

For sure. They’ve hinted in many of his biographies he did but they were always hints. It’s the bag of dildos and pedo accusations to which I refer.
Most biographies I’ve read involve far more detail. Names of women, places, circumstances. Aftermath etc. Not sure how it’s written and will maybe read the book for myself. Although I’ve read two lengthy Marciano biographies and countless other articles. You’d think with his life under a microscope some of this stuff would come out sooner.

I've literally heard not one pedo accusation in Marciano's name. I find it extremely disrespectful and irresponsible to even bring it up without a source.

Ah you’re just picking all the possible negatives. Lots of people are addicted to sex but can still lead a relatively normal life.

Anyway I can believe Rocky could have been a sex addict. Sometimes being heavyweight champ of the world which open a whole lot of doors outside the ring it just comes with the territory. Look at Louis. He seemed like a great role model to those watching from the outside but everyone in the business knew that he was a womaniser who had plenty of affairs an cheating on his wife. Look at some of the great heavyweight champs, Frazier, Foreman, Ali , Tyson an Holyfield.. All were addicted to sex an not just with their wives. They must have about 50 or so children between the lot of them an all with different women. Only Holmes didn’t look for sex with different women at every opportunity he could get between fights an that was probably only because it meant spending money on having all these affairs an Holmes rep as someone unwilling to spend his money was as legendary as his boxing skills

Well I think sex addict vs someone who has affairs or sleeps around is a large distinction. There are ppl who drink a lot who arent alcoholics. Again I'm not saying Marciano was a sex addict. Just that if someone is a sex addict it's usually not awesome for them and can be life ruining
