Fantastic job, I have learned to appreciate Marciano throughout the years especially from my conversations with many of the old time knowledgeable trainers and you did him well. He is one of my favorites and savage is a great title because that is what his opponents all felt once the bell rang. Great work!! Marciano was a savage beast in the ring and a very intelligent thinking man as well.....rare fighter
Rafman, I sometimes wonder why Rocky doesn't get countered more often after missing a punch. All I can say is that he fought some guys with skills, experience and know how, so if he got countered so-much-and-no-more, there must have been some pretty good reasons.
Fit, Strong and Unrelenting... this video (like all other Proper Video) proves once again for all "they look **** on film" disclaimers... Well THEY DON'T and They Weren't, as I've said a million times, the Film was S H I T E , NOT the fighters. poor Old Joe looked worried and didn't the Ol Mongoose took some beating... Just more proof, love and respect for the Era!
Great job Rez. I actually liked the music, but using synced radio broadcast like Iron ****** does would be cool. Slow mo lets you see the expressions on his opponents faces better as well. Charles and Moore have a look that seems to say "he can't keep this pace up forever"....and then that look transforms gradually with each jarring blow that hits every conceivable place above the belt into despair before the inevitable end.
He gets countered. A lot. What makes him unique is that he eats the counters, and keeps throwing bombs. Just look at the Moore segment of the video. Moore lands tons of counters, which would halt most boxers in their tracks. But not Rock!
I haven't seen Iron Monkeys work, do you have a link? And yeah, I regret not adding more radio audio to the video. I did that for my Louis video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-4DMPM2lns
Good stuff. A couple thought come to mind... How often did Rocky get away with rabbit punches? And the most obvious kind? What the f*ck were his hands made of? He hit with such full abandon on both the bag and opponents. I fee like my hands would shatter if I tried that. And again, one the most conditioned athletes ever to grace the ring.
He got away with his fare share of rabbit punches. Hell Rocky, would punch you in your ankles if he could. Such a gentlemen out of the ring, but a maniac in it.
My bad, it's IronTapeProductions. Here's one of my favorites below. Hopefully the color footage of a few of his fights that is known to exist will be available on YouTube one day. https://youtu.be/IksKG80ER9o
It's a wonderful video. Excellent work. I really like the music and how you edited the video to the beat. Great job.
Rocky was definitely not the most skilled but he made up for it in raw power, chin, and conditioning. That's why he will always be an ATG.
