I think that is a bridge too far, Maskaev was never very durable.

If you put Peters opposition in Marciano's time what do you think would happen?

Biggest HW out there therefore should be unbeatable.

Yet a former CW managed to beat him.

Why would Marciano be unable to KO Maskaev?

This word "bigger" seems to be very important to you.

A bigger fighter is not necisarily harder hitting.

A bigger fighter is not necisarily more durable.

A bigger fighter is not necisarily better.

None of these things can be assumed simply because a fighter is bigger.

They still have to prove them!

    Like Carnera ,Simon, Baer, didn't.

Peter would have his work cut out beating Buddy Baer!

Peter has two victories of note.

Maskaev (who got knocked out by a 5'10 man)
And Toney (who was a 5'10 man).

His only ko of note is Maskaev. His only knockdown of note is rabbit punches against Wladimir.

You responded with a quote about a man who had yet to even compete at world level. In fact the first ranked opponent Rocky faced was La Starza and not long after that he knocked out a 220 pound man. 3 years later he knocked out LaStarza in a rematch.

The first ranked opponent Peter faced was Wlad at a time when everyone was knocking him silly. 3 years later he lost to Vitali returning from a 4 year absence.
