Rocky Marciano versus Lennox Lewis

I appreciate trolling just as much as the next guy, but this is annoying.


Not the ts or subject- The two douches who have effectively douched this place up...

And Lennox mostlikely beats the hell out of Marciano. He has everything necessary to beat him. I have real trouble envisioning Marciano beating Lewis. I'm very confident Rocky loses.

 

Rock is going to have a tough time reaching that glass jaw

Lewis doesn't fold under pressure like Wlad and he's less likely to over exert himself like him either ... and he can fight inside

But if Rock can connect a few times who knows what would happen ... problem is that Rock is a give and take kind of fighter and by that I mean he would take a lot of hits in the process of executing his own assault... but against Lewis he would have difficulty being effective that way due to his size

 

I love both these guys (particularly The Rock) but I must say I don't see Marciano beatong LL H2H - just can't see it.

Fighting someone bigger is not insurmountable if the bigger guy is clearly inferior, but Lewis was an awesome SHW - he had the power, size, reach, ring intelligence, experience, athleticism to nuetralise ANYBODY of Marciano's dimensions I believe. He wouldn't engage with Marciano, but could keep him at bay for long enough I believe to win on points.

P4P though is a differnet matter - I rate Marciano as P4P the greatest heavyweight of all time.

He's probably some dip**** Italian American who's just pissed off because all Italian Americans nowadays look like those ***gots off Jersey Shore.

 

I don't really think you would walk into some of the deep Italian neighborhoods in Brooklyn,Queens and NYC and make that statement and walk out with your manhood. I don't think all Italian Americans look like the ***gots from Jersey Shore or do the British all look like the many ***gots from your country Great Britain. There are plenty tough Italian,Black,Spanish,Jewish,Polish,German, Irish,English people that are citizens of the USA so even though I know you statement is said from a distance like most cyber tough guys, it is a cowardly thing to say when said from a distance.

 

Lewis wins. Will keep Marciano at bay all night. Similar to Tua. I know Rocky is better than Tua by miles, but Lewis size, weight and reach would be huge factors!

 

It would be nothing like Lewis/Tua.

Tua was fat and overweight in that fight ,didn't apply pressure and was just looking for one big shot to land.

 

Look I don't give a ****, I don't plan on walking into those neighbourhoods and slagging off the locals, I was exaggerating about the Italian American thing. i dont even subscribe that rocky was a bigger puncher. p4p? sure. but so is julian jackson. punch for punch lewis is likely a much bigger puncher. the idea that lewis gets pummelled in one punch by the hardest hitting cruiser ever is difficult to swallow to. possible yes but i wouldnt bet on it

Thats not true. Beacause you are bigger and have more muscle mass does not mean you are a harder hitter or have more punch resistance .
Rocky and Louis generated far greater power than Lewis.
Louis who was 60 pounds lighter out-powered and knocked out huge power puncher Carnera.
He knocked out Bear who had never been down before.
Rocky had a fear of killing people he hit so hard after putting Primo into a coma and retiring him from boxing.

Lewis and Wlad are massive punchers at a distance but lose that power when he distance is closed, (unless you have a killer uppercut like Lewis had).

Chambers , maybe Brock is the only fighter i can think of that Wlad knocked out that couldn't get up. That wasn't the result of one punch, that knockout came after a 12 round beating that left Chambers a walking zombie who would of been knocked out cold from a middleweight.

They dont have the one punch concussive power Louis, Marciano and Dempsey had.
