Copy that,,I think a prime Brown Bomber doesn't let Rocky off the hook the way Walcott and Moore did after they dropped him. Joe Louis was a Murderous finisher when he had a man hurt. A prime Louis was a fantastic combination puncher with power in both hands, he Ko's Marciano inside 5.

    Usyk, easily.

And really prime Joe Louis would have shredded Marciano and it wouldn't have taken him long.

    Power Rocky
    Hand speed Usyk
    Chin Maybe Rocky
    Footwork Usyk
Stamina Rocky, but Usyk's stamina is great
    Technique Usyk
    Accuracy Usyk
    Defense Usyk
    Combinations Usyk
    Versatility Usyk
    Ring IQ Usyk
    Heart even

8-1-3 advantage Usyk, with 2 factors in Rocky's favor (chin and stamina) being close at best, debatable at worst. In other words, Usyk's bringing way too many things to the table to make this competitive. You can rule out even a slim chance of Rocky winning a decision, and a KO is extremely unlikely outside of a puncher's chance or freak cut.

Regarding the body, sure, Usyk's not great at taking those, but Rocky still has to get close and land enough of them for that to be a major factor. I guess the 2 closest men in style to Rocky Usyk faced were Chisora and Huck, and Usyk wasn't getting bulldozed or overwhelmed in either fight and won pretty darn convincingly. Those two were also significant larger and likely hit harder than Rocky but that didn't help them. Anytime I try to envision this matchup, I just see the short stubby armed Rocky hopelessly trying to boar his way in but either swings at air, runs into counters, or loses most exchanges even when he does get close since Usyk's faster with better timing and accuracy.

If Rocky tries to He-Man his way to victory taking 2-3 shots to land one, he gets stopped after having his face rearranged by dozen of clean flurries. And if he hopes for a Hollywood miraculous come from behind KO, Usyk is way too smart and careful to fall for that.

I don't think Rocky beats any elite, tall, A class, boxer whose 30-40 lbs heavier than him to be brutally honest unless they have a glass jaw or become incredibly overconfident and leave themselves wide open for a huge bomb. But then again, they wouldn't be much of an elite A class boxer if that was a likely possibility.

Usyk wins a very convincing decision 8 rounds to 4 at worst, or stops Rocky late if he steps on the gas.

Usyk beats the **** out of Rocky until the indomitable human spirit reignites him and Rocky chins Usyk in the last minute of the last round

While Marciano deserves more credit than that description, it would be funny to think how Usyk would react to fighting a man much smaller than him for once, after all the 6'5"+, 250 lbs+ giants he's slayed today.

Usyk gets a solid decision against Rocky in a 10, 12, or 15 rounder

Actually changed my mind on this fight. Initially thought maybe Usyk would be to much. Def don’t think so. Everything Marciano does well goes to Usyks weaknesses. Marciano was an excellent body puncher and threw great uppercuts. Also one of the few people with better stamina.

Against the 195 CW Usyk, Marciano works over the body viciously and wins a close but brutal 12 round war.

Against the 225 Usyk, Rocky is outmuscled, out slicked, and loses on cuts. TKO 10 for Usyk.

When I was laughed at for saying (non-trollingly) JMM might still beat Pac in the third match, I was saying people were getting confused by how well Pacquiao fights bigger men who aren't so great and fighting a guy his size who is a great boxer, and it might completely alter their perception of Pac being so good he has to be on the most special new chemicals sports can offer. Lead into another controversial score card and then getting obliterated with JMM in two more fights. Well, Usyk also has something about him like Pacquiao. He's brilliant at outmaneuvering much larger guys and that isn't something that translates to all builds. He has a great style to mindfoke even big men who can move well themselves.

But I would bet you, you put that man in there with someone of Marciano's dimensions and caliber and training habits and mindset, and you will ask yourself why you thought Marciano would be at such a disadvantage in speed and footwork, and you won't understand what's going on at all, and it will seem very bizarre to you, and it will be for the same reason people have trouble gauging the sizes of lights in the sky. Marciano/Usyk may not turn into a Marciano win. I am not making that case. I am assuming that it more likely will turn into an awkward, chaotic, messy clash of styles where one guy seems to have all the right advantages on paper, yet finds himself in deep with someone who is himself a physical marvel of the most unique style and caliber. They could be all kinds of wrong for each other and Usyk might find nothing more than broken rhythms and dreams.

    Hi Buddy.
Perfect, on point, breakdown of the pairing of 2 great fighters, can't really see any fair minded poster disagreeing with your excellent prognosis.

I think that Marciano has a much better style for negating Usyk than the superheavyweights that he fought.

The way to beat Usyk is to smother him.

Giving him room to work seems to be fatal.

Usyk is rightly held in very high regard right now, but people are a bit to quick to forget how styles play into things.

I love Rocky but I don't think he gets a win over Usyk.
Unless like already been mentioned,he somehow gets drawn in to a brawl and Marciano managers to drop the old Suzy Q and hurts him.
