Marciano was a much better infighter than Holmes, Ali couldn`t keep him away in 1980 and would be battered on the ropes far worse than Holmes did.

Louis wasn`t suffering from Parkinsons Ali couldn`t even touch his nose in the medical he had before the Holmes fight.

Moving? Have you actually watched Holmes-Ali?

Ali in 1980 moved precisely fukk all. He lay on the ropes and soaked up punishment the entire fight. The corpse of Joe Louis at least had a heavy jab whereas Ali had nothing.

Marciano would batter him worse than Holmes who began taking it easier on Ali when he saw he was spent. Marciano wouldn't do that.

No problem. Next time we compare that ATG HW KO-Artist with Tyson, putting a 4R clinic on an aging Larry Holmes. A guy who could move backwards on two feet. We know what modern HWs the italian could beat.

And you´ve actually watchted that Louis fight, saw him moving?
Holmes put everything into offense too I guess, right, trying to hurt his man as quick as he could?

This board is a place lol. Now Holmes is comparable as a offensive force to the the style of the great Ko-artist Rocky Marciano. And everyone seems to accept it

Marciano would beat him down badly. After a handful of rounds the end would surely be close.

Did I say Louis was mobile when he faced Rocky? I said he was a corpse with a heavy jab. That's all Mr Strawman.

You're the one who said 1980 Ali was a moving target which anyone who has seen the fight knows is total BS. Makes me think you've not even watched the fight to say something as bogus as that

Your desperate attempts to discredit Marciano are as blatant as they're pathetic. Resorting to matching the final fight version of Louis (one of the saddest sights in boxing) against other near prime fighters just to discredit Rocky further is proof of how low you'll stoop.

I'd say you're better than that but for the life of me I can't remember you posting much of any worth on this forum ever.

Of course did Ali move in between and at the beginning. I guess he didn´t move on the ropes against Foreman too, was an easy target right? You´ve watched Louis in comp.?

The only blatant nonsense in here is comparing a willing to trade Louis, a fighter relying on offensive skills, with a defensive moving jabber to Ali. A guy known for wiggling on the ropes. A guy twice the chin and durability of Joe Louis. Beside the fact, that Ali never woke up from the ring floor to begin with. And you know what? Everyone here knows it.

But for some reason, having a target in front of the glove doing the job in 8/10, of course is two rounds better then doing the job in 10/15, holding back with his punches crying after the fight.
One meeting is a collide affair involving two punchers, the other is two moving jabbers boxing. Perfectly fine equation, no?

 Would you know what a damn fuc I care you evaluating my posts.

There is only one fighter in the galaxy of boxing I do know of who, beside going unbeaten in his own era, is repeatedly impelled paired against fellows totally distinct from his own achievements. But for the sake of worshipping maximal, unequably matching this guy 40lb up in weightclass is fair and not low, right?
Pathetic? What´s pathetic is bringing up the exact same Louis as a modern 218lb HW reference in every second Rocky thread. Suddenly old worn Louis isn´t to pity filling in for the Foremans, Lewis and Holmes.

This is a forum for evaluating boxing performances. Unless its a performance of the white italian gold standard, harming the holy grail of equality....

Marciano would have destroyed him far faster then Holmes. The amount of huge power shots Marciano could land was second to none. That version of Ali probably would not see the fifth round. Would have been one of the worst four round beatings of all time.

Nice rant but again nothing of substance other than to reemphasize your Marciano fixation.
Most of us don't get kept up at night stressing about how Rocky Marciano could be favoured in a fantasy fight that will never happen with Anthony Joshua or Larry Holmes ffs. Most of us aren't irrational about him and can appreciate him for what he was without needing your crusade about how much he sucks being fed to us as nauseum.
I'm just surprised you haven't claimed a modern size heavy walks out of the plane crash that killed Marciano with minor bruising yet or is that your next Marciano thread?

Louis jabbed far better against Rocky than Ali did v Holmes and he threw more jabs in that bout, did Ali jab at all v Holmes? He was completely gone.

If Rocky cried after beating Joe, he would've balled his eyes out after this one.
