I don't think that a 6' 1'' opponent with a 74'' reach would have an insurmountable physical advantage.

He might fall on Marciano of course!

Rock wins this in all honesty but Ruiz probably eats a stone's worth every breakfast so if he's particularly famished you never know.

Marciano's breakneck pace would crumble Ruiz. Might look something like his fight with Savold

funny after watching last nights fight (I am a big fan of Joshua, his dedication and nice personality & acomplishments) but Andy looked no taller than 5"11 and he had lifts in his sneakers and his reach couldnt have been over 70 inches and we all know he was fatter than Tony Galento ever was.

Thing is Ruiz fought in his punching range after getting dropped by Joshua's great right hand, Ruiz showed heart and came back strong but what I have been saying all along is that these guys who are 6"8- 6'6-6'9 6'5 can not make the chin any better

Ruiz has power but not a killer puncher, he was smart enough to keep his hands up and get inside Joshua's reach and close enough to be in his own punching range- the key was throwing punches in bunches

size matters when you use your reach and height but when the other guys will allows him to fight where he is comfortable, his disadvantage becomes an advantage

This is no longer the ridiculous prospect recent times have led us to believe imo.

Rocky would have to survive the hurt from range. He'd have to be able to catch Joshua up close. He'd have to drive him back with hard combinations inside where Joshua can't get the leverage off.

It's realistic that Rocky does this. It's realistic that Joshua bombs him out.

The fight is debatable and that's a big victory for any fan of classic boxing.

It's funny because had it happened before 1960s, many people here would tell us how terrible both fighters looks and how Joshua got destroyed by overweight bar brawler (like Tony Galento).

This fight isn't good from technical point and I don't see any great speed or footwork from Ruiz. Heavyweights were smaller and faster back then, Ruiz looks faster than Joshua because Joshua is slow. Had he fought against Charles or Walcott, he would have look far slower (and slower than Marciano). Perception depends on relativity.

Ruiz is a lot faster than Marciano. And he has a quality chin and decent gas tank.

Where does this sh*t come from? I have been following Andy since about his 10th fight. He has always been listed at 6-2. Carrying 270 pounds at that size may make you appear shorter, I don't know. But 6-2 is what is he is. You can not just arbitrarily dismiss one fighter's measurements and not apply the same standard to all fighters. That is just hack logic.

It's not Joshua's chin that sucks (that temple shot was pretty brutal). It's his gas tank and fighting will.

Ruiz beat AJ because AJ is a shyte inside fighter, doesn't appear to have a very good chin and has a fairly low workrate.

None of those things apply to Marciano.

It would be a good fight for a while but I think Rocky pulls it off on pedigree.
