Is this the Foreman/Frazier like blowout that we all envision or could Rocky withstand the punishment and come back to win? I lean towards AJ, but if Marciano is more durable than we think and AJ can't get him out of there early, then Marciano has a very good chance of victory

Joshua’s best win is probably comeback Klitschko. His second best win is Parker. Marciano was relentless and didn’t tire. Joshua tends to run out of steam quick. Also Joshua has a History of freezing on the big stage. And fighting Marciano would be huge. I am going with Marciano W TKO 5.

I'd love to see a thread just once of Marciano against fighters of similar size.

Marciano vs Briedis, Hunter, Patterson, Johansson, Beterbiev, etc. I don't know why we have to keep pitting him in mismatches vs Super Heavyweights.

Rocky's kind of too small for this.
Unless you gave him the Usyk nutrition so he could become bigger, this ain't no match.

The fight would literally look like a kid fighting a man.

There’s no question that Rocky has the better legacy, but in a sport with so many weight classes, fans seem to ignore the impact size has on fights when it comes to Marciano.

Rocky IV was an inspiring movie featuring an Italian American champion fighting and defeating a much larger juiced up opponent who many thought would destroy him. While such scenarios in real life might not be impossible I think we should base our assumptions on a certain level of probability. Yes, Rocky Marciano was indeed an ATG by virtue of what he accomplished in the 1950s where as Anthony Joshua was unable to produce a similar legacy in the 21st century. And yes there are people who for conversation sake ( and the love of a good argument ) will claim to favor the Rock…. But the reality is that if the man were to arrive here in a Time Machine tomorrow and challenge Joshua, not a single member of this forum would bet a penny on him…

For a 5'10", 185 lb. dude with alligator arms, it's asking an awful lot of him to try to overcome the 6'6", 250 lb., roided up AJ. I think that those who don't see the necessity of the Cruiserweight division, might after seeing a matchup like this. Rocky gets manhandled, and bounced around the ring in this one. Way too much size and strength for RM to overcome.
