Bumping this thread. I think Beterbiev schools Marciano. The only way to beat Beterbiev is to be a fast fighter which Marciano is not.
Other is that when we compare people from different eras we take those from the past as they are, but those from the present with all the improvements, mostly PEDs, like if they're fighting now - but what if they were fighting back in time?
Beterbiev is naturally stronger, Marciano would put up great resistance, but Beterbiev stops him in the later rounds...
On what are you basing that Beterbiev is stronger?? I ask sincerely. Interestingly, a lot of posters seem fixated on whether Marciano could handle Beterbiev's power and pressure. Have those folks considered whether Beterbiev could take Marciano's power? It's not as if Artur is especially elusive, and Marciano had crushing power for a man his size.
Still got Beterbiev but I've been watching more of Marciano recently and his skills are quite subtle and impressive, however crude he looks.
Artur has better footwork, and makes fewer mistakes. That said, Rocky had fight ending power, incredible stamina and granite chin. Rocky by 13th round KO.
I don't understand how people could say "Marciano beats Beterbiev". Since Marciano's time, boxing science improved a lot. Training techniques, gym equipments, conditioning, nutrition, diets etc. Beterbiev has been trained much better than Marciano had. Beterbiev knocks out Marciano easily.
