Rocky Marciano vs. Bruce Seldon

Ah, I dont know about this. Mcall was champion, defending his title against Bruno with the winner for the most part guaranteed a big payday against comebacking Mike Tyson. Tyson was always going to fight the WBC champ first. I think Mcall was very motivated for Bruno, just outclassed technically.

 

It is all about styles and match ups ...not Bruno or Seldon lovers ...

 

In this case yes your right. Seldon doesnt have the same intangibles and fighting style as Bruno even though both pretty much operated at distance. There are too many unknowns as to how Marciano would stack up against a far bigger stronger man in Bruno. You cant compare Marciano to Tyson either, they were different fighters with Tyson having a large advantage in both hand and footspeed and Bruno still managed to land some good shots in both fights. Being that Marciano was physically smaller by quite a bit, certain physical attributes start to offset superior ability in my opinion.

Hes always been ****ed up on crack. He was caught last week down here with crack, a day before his fight, can you believe that? Guys got some serious demons.

 

Marciano is charged with manslaughter after the BRUTAL KO of Bruce Seldon...

 

You can't learn a great chin and you can't train anybody to hit like Marciano (guess what happens when they collide?) - this is worse than Marciano-Bruno and that was bad.

I think a better matchup would be Ray Mercer v Marciano. Ray could and would take the best that Rocky could offer and keep throwing...
