Actually unlike a lot of modern fighters every fighter Marciano fought on film was ranked. And some were old (doesn’t mean not good) some were prime (which you like to leave out). He had not one bad opponent on film. The worst probably being Don C and even then Don had more good wins then a lot of modern guys do before getting title shots. You can “lol” all you want...doesn’t make you right. Just makes you look foolish for not u derstanding something as simple as Marciano got hit less then those other two. Period.
1. Do you honestly think a 38 year old shot fat Louis, who was a shell of himself would be "good in any era"? 2. The rest of those boxers would not even make heavyweight, and all of them with the exception of Lastarza, were all noticeably past it, and had seen better days.
1) Louis was on an 8 fight win streak 2) We're not talking about whether those boxers would make heavyweight, which is irrelevant, we're talking about whether Marciano would beat Canelo. And let me answer that: Marciano beats Canelo like there's a 3 for the price of 1 box of beats at the wholesaler.
If you think Louis against Marciano was fat, I'd hate to see your opinion of more recent waistlines in the division.
One writer stated that Marciano was crude....another said that "Yeah...he was crude...but so was the first atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima!" "That was crude...but it did the job!" Perfect analogy!!!
Again, according to those who had watched Louis his entire career, who were actually there witnessing these events unfold, he was a one handed fighter who had lost the ability to move or adjust and was only in it for the money. The version Marciano faced wouldn't sniff the Top 50 today.
