I've no doubt he fought at his peak weak. The problem is, someone's leak weight doesn't always give them the best chance of success.
Honestly Chris Byrd was damn good, I'm usually a ATG nuthugger but I could see Byrd winning a decision against Marciano. I probably in a very small minority though.
The OP should have specified the duration of the bout. I think in an 8 rounder or less Byrd might pull it off. 10 or more and I pick Marciano.
Now this is the funniest post I've ever read. You can't refute what I posted but are so very desperate to one up me in some way, so you attribute a phantom fallacy to my post, use your creation to mock me, fact check it with a cute little source, and walk away feeling like the big man. It doesn't matter I never once stated Louis wanted to face Marciano or that I'm already aware of everything you just posted. But hey, I'm going to start doing this to you when I get the chance, it will be fun.
The supposition here is hilariously ignorant. Joe Louis was not an Egyptian. Are you stupid or something? Born in rural Chambers County, Alabama, Louis was the son of Munroe Barrow and Lillie Barrow, the seventh of eight children. Both his parents were the children of former slaves. Munroe was predominantly African American with some white ancestry while Lillie was half Cherokee. My Source...Joe Louis: The Great Black Hope by Richard Bak. pages 5-6.
Joe Louis did not win his last 10 fights! He lost 2 of his last 10. Joe Louis was defeated by Ezzard Charles and Rocky Marciano. You will find these fights listed on boxrec, if you are not aware of the site I will provide a link to the Joe Louis page. You might find it useful in further debates. http://boxrec.com/boxer/9027 These fights have also been filmed, and I would recommend you view them.
You're going to have fun stalking me and making negative, pedantic comments on my posts and," it's been a pleasure putting me in my place" Seamus has ,"his head in my snatch ,"because he disagreed with you and you ask what is wrong with me? lol Well, Dan The Man ,be my guest ,fill your boots ,I really could not care less about you or your input. Its a public forum, if you want to rip me at every opportunity that's fine ,its your prerogative,go for it! NB Louis' Mother's name was Lily Barrow, nee Reese, not Lillie.
You act like a rude *****, you get treated like one. That goes for you and Seamus both. I don't care how YOU think her name was spelled. If you have a problem with my source, take it up with Richard Bak himself.
I'll take Joe Louis's word on how his Mother's name was spelt."My Momma was Lily Reese before she got married from Chambers County Alabama".Page 4 of his autobiography. Oh BTW. Louis' mother had no Native American blood in her, that came from Louis' Fathers Mother who was a full blooded Cherokee.Same source, same page . I've no problem with how you comport yourself Mongoose, it's entertainment for me. You crack on old Son!lol
