    im dying to see some responses. on paper, its hard to think of a worse matchup for patterson

    There are some cases through history, where the heir apparent was a stylistic flop.

    This is one of them.

    Marciano would never have reached Sonny Liston, but Patterson would not have stopped him.

    I feel that Floyd would have gallantly gone out on his shield vs Rocky. He'd have his moments early on and he would definitely trouble Rocky with his hand speed, but eventually, the methodical, relentless, blood vessel breaking pressure would take it's toll, and by the 7th or 8th it would be over.

    What do you think? I think Patterson eats uppercuts and body shots that take the speed out of him.

    did he face exteme speed? a shot louis still had decent hand speed but was chewed up.
