The implication was that Bruno was not good enough to become lineal champion because he was not good enough to beat any of the men who were lineal champion in his time. Douglas of the Holyfield fight was the lineal champion.

It's not a diversion. It's a reality. Picking someone who was never a champion themselves, to go into an era and do some thing they never did, is a call that requires a leap of faith.

Now don't get me wrong, leaps of faith are required in these match ups. By their very nature.

But I honestly don't see Bruno in any era becoming a dominant champion. As I said, he might get lucky and catch someone at the right time, but he had the opportunity to catch someone at the right time in his own era and couldn't turn the trick.

I reckon Rocky would be champ in any era, just not sure he'd always be a HW champ. But Bruno, i just don't see it.

I'm not a fan of Rocky. He's an American champion from way before my time. I actually am a massive fan boy of Bruno, he got me into the sport.

Well let’s see. Bruno against the following Lineal
Champions. I could list em all. Let’s list the one he struggles with. Liston, Louis, Ali, Foreman, Holmes, Douglas,Holyfield, Bowe, Lewis.

    Are you serious?

The man struggled enough to beat contenders, never mind champions!

Ok. Let’s get to it. Do you really think heavyweight boxing has been frozen in time? Do you really think that a 5-10 height 68 reach 190 pound fighter takes out these huge 6-5 height 8-2 inch reach 240-260 pound, 6-6 height 84 inch behemoths out? Let me repeat myself. Stop making Rocky Marciano overrated. It’s you that making him look bad. Let him have his place in history.

Never really struggled. Just stamina problems. Apart from Tyson fight he was ahead on points.

But who did he flatten in real life?

He's my favourite all time boxer but did he ever flatten a ranked opponent?

Did he ever have a chance to face a slow 180 something pounder with short arms and a tendency to cut?

Look let’s look at this brutally. Any heavyweight champion this side of Liston CAN beat Rocky. Not saying they will. But they CAN. I said it earlier. Let me also say that no way if Rocky was fighting in any era after his he stays unbeaten. This is why old time boxers get UNDERRATED. Example:!Top of my head: Dempsey all time great. But what the **** do you think George Foreman would do to him? How about what David Tua would do to say someone like Bob Fitzimmons? Or am I being silly?
