SQ, Sonny's Jab, whatever you're calling yourself on this thread, you don't have good reasons for supporting Marciano, you have weak excuses and do the man no service. Marciano was a terrific fighter. You are a poor debater .

I'm more intrigued by Dempsey than I am of Marciano. Both were crude, but Marciano benefitted from better training and guidance compared to Dempsey's old-fashioned method... Prime-4-prime, I like Rocco by 7th rd. KO here.... No way this goes 10, 12 or 15 rds......

Dempsey was faster, a better two handed puncher and just as game, courageous and tough ... Rocky's biggest advantage was he was the smarter fighter ... he kept a cooler head under fire ... Dempsey got hit and saw red ... if he went crazy against Rocky I feel he would get caught and I feel if Rocky landed right the fight would be over ...

This is a close fight what ever way you look at it. Its like deciding who was better joe louis or muhammad ali. there is not much in it.

Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Vitali Klitschko, Evander Holyfield, Joe Frazier, George Foreman and Muhammad Ali would all have a good chance too.

Surely Bob Fitzsimmons would sleep Rocky. It's irrefutable.

Cross_Trainer always thought so. You know, back when Cross_Trainer really mattered.

I am not Einstein, but your MATH is obviously wrong when you say Moore was 38 years old when he was kod by Rocky. Archie Moore, born in 1913,was FORTY TWO years old when he fought Rocky Marciano in 1955.
No spring chicken was ole Archie, and you can't fool Mother Nature ...

Arnold Cream hit harder than Firpo & Flynn and was a far superior boxer to Gene Tunney . I think there is also a case for Cream hitting harder than Dempsey himself , put him with Dempsey's gloves and d first who connects wins by KO , and I know Cream was usually d fisrt 2 connect .
    So Rocco 4 me .

Great fight. Hard to bet against Marciano, I think its a very close fight could go either way.
