Lastarza was a well managed boxer who really didn't merit a title shot. Cooney would have caved his ribs in.

Except Cooney could hit as few men can,was 6 inches taller and 40lbs heavier.
Lastarza's boxing ability is overated he lost to moderate Bucceroni and journeyman Jones when in his prime.
