    I'd go with Rocky via later round TKO. Its too bad Pulev did not test Wilder or Fury in his mid 30's. He might have beaten either.

    Norkus regularly fought better opposition and,just as regularly lost to them!
    The bottom line is Norkus lost to 3rd raters and as yet Pulev hasn't!
    I've proved,[ I hope ] ,that Pulev would have no trouble being a top ten contender in the 1950's which was your original assertion.
    Or do you think Don Cokklell beats Pulev?

    Wlad is the only guy Pulev fought with a pulse! Pulev earned his title shot beating old, severely out of shape heavies who weren't even given more than 1 week training camps!
    Pulev even turned down his mandatory against prime AJ knowing full well he'd get wrecked once again.

    I don't rate him highly myself ,but I think he would comfortably fit in as a contender in the 1950's which was the point I made.
    You have the same opinion of Tyson Fury,yet Teddy Atlas considers him the most talented of the current heavyweights, and Kevin Barry picks him to beat Holyfield.

    It is what it is. Pulev like most fighting the last 20-30 years come from a very low skilled and watered down hwt division. Fighters who should not be called a champion are a champion. Fighters who should not be termed a contender are contenders. Pulev fits that bill. Marciano obliterates him.

    I'm interested, what do you think of someone like Alexander Ustinov? Just a dog? Beneath contempt as a sportsman?

    Dimitrenko? I mean he's been the champion of his continent (off the top of my head) but useless? Can't fight at all? These guys are being beaten by "nothings" - I take it you think they are sub-club fighters if they're active in 1965? Openers on smoker cards, stuff like that?
