You are ****. Prove to me Marciano wasn't walking around at 168ish..? Dude was a god damn 5'9 guy and would not be a CW today. He will be at LHW. He and Ward can have a trilogy
Cause I've answered that question so many time with evidence. I should just copy that and paste it when people ask. Only purely ignorant fools say Marciano didn't beat anyone. Drives me bonkers. And I didn't chime in. Marciano would be too small for Lewis. The only way Marciano won is if his vaunted punching power was somehow able to break Lewis' body down with a sustained attack, and then brought it upstairs to crack Lewis on the jaw. I don't see it happening though.
You have no proof he was 168. Also, I am pretty sure Marciano wasn't putting on weight for his fights. They had scales back then. Pretty sure all those recorded weights in the 180's were right.
He's right. Marciano trained like a tank and was putting on 21pounds come fight time. Put 10lbs in his pockets, another 8 in his shoes etc. Even though some fights he came down in weight.
I cannot imagine how short a fight this would be. Sort of like Golota vs. Lennox. The first right hand and Marciano is pretty much out of it and Lennox only has to land a few more to end the fight. Just too big. When talking about Marciano and Patterson, they would not really be in the same division and Lennox or the Klitchkos. Even Tyson would have been too big for Marciano and Patterson. Larry Holmes was the start where the fighters started to get a little bigger yet could move. How I see the jump up in size is like this. Marciano and Patterson were the smaller heavyweights, then Liston was bigger where he crushed Patterson two times-more with size. Then Ali was a bigger guy who could hang with Liston. Then came Foreman and guys like Holmes who were big and could move. Witherspoon took it up and notch and then Lennox came around to be even bigger and now we have the Klitchkos.
You ****ing serious? Go to Boxrec. He weighed in over 185 often. Jesus Christ, you have to be trolling. You cannot be serious.
They took them down for some reason. Click on the little book icons on Marciano's record. They have summaries of the fights. They have weights at the top. http://boxrec.com/media/index.php?title=Fight:19988 That fight for example had Marciano listed at 189 and 3/4. Your uncle lied to you about him being 165 or he was grossly misinformed. Marciano didn't put 20 plus pounds on for fights.
Yea well when you suffer from medical condition called "fibs" theres no wonder his uncle lied...or just him
